FairQR is built to collect as little as possible.

Static codes

Static QR codes, including Wi-Fi, contact card, email, text and phone codes, are generated entirely in your browser. What you type is never sent to our servers.

Editable codes

When you create an editable code, we store the destination link, the optional name you give it, a hashed version of your private manage key, and a one-way hash of your network address for abuse prevention and rate limiting. We don’t store your raw IP address.

Scans

When someone scans an editable code, we add one to its scan count for that day. We don’t record who scanned it, their location or their device.

Advertising

We may show ads from third-party networks to keep FairQR free. Those networks may use cookies, as described in their own policies. Your QR codes never contain ads.
