QR codes with no expiration date.
Some “free” QR sites make codes that stop working after a trial. FairQR’s don’t. Your link is built into the code, so it works for as long as your link does.

Why codes “expire”
The expiring-QR trap, explained.
Some generators quietly give you a dynamic code that points to their server instead of your website. When the trial ends, they redirect your scans to a payment page until you subscribe. Your printed materials are effectively held hostage.
A static code can’t do that, because your link is encoded directly in the pattern. And if you need to edit a code, FairQR’s editable codes are free and don’t turn off.
- Check what’s inside your old codeScan it. If the link goes to the QR company’s domain instead of yours, it can be switched off.

- Swap it on your next print runStatic codes work as long as your website is up.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Why did my QR code stop working?
If you made it on a subscription site, it was probably a dynamic code tied to a trial or plan. When the plan ended, the site stopped forwarding scans to your link.
Do FairQR codes ever expire?
Static codes can’t expire. They hold your link directly. Editable codes stay on as long as they aren’t used for abuse.
Can I make an editable code that won’t expire?
Yes. FairQR editable codes are free, with no trial and no plan to cancel.
